Hey Justin,

I am thinking on exactly the same lines, will find some time soon to build something like that.

I haven't looked at Sandy, but i did spend some time with Away3d .. my not so informed opinion is that papervision is more mature in terms of features and its has more people working on it so its evolving a lot faster than the other libraries.

Hi Anish,

This took about 60-90 mins to build, so it wasn't very difficult, but getting the hang of papervision3d takes some time purely because it is not documented very well (especially the new more interesting branches of code)

Papervision is definitely very promising ... I feel that they have done a very good job at cashing in on the strengths of AS3 and FP3 .. even with quite detailed complex geometries things perform quite well.

As for the source, I plan on building this a little more, will release the source after that.

The FUG today was awesome! I had a lot of fun .. I hope everyone found it useful.

Cool demo. I'd love to see some points of interest on it whereby you could zoom in and have a context menu of sorts popup. Kinda like Google Earth but purely a browser based quick app.

Have you had a chance to play with Sandy3D? I tried playing with Pv3D but didn't really get too far with it. Sandy3D seemed a bit more intuitive to me.

Hi Mrinal,

Nice app for papervision3d. how long did you take to build this app. Few years back I had built a similar app with a rotating globe in flash and it was pretty easy in flash.

Papervision seems to be very promising. Whats your first hand impression of paperVision......Any plans to get the source code out?

Good work and thanks to you and Adobe for organising the FUG meet today.
