onAIR Camp in DC: after the lunch, before the beer
Christian Cantrell presented a session on using the Embedded Database API and is session was really cool, I haven’t experimented with the embedded database much yet so I learned a lot and I am now looking forward to experimenting with it.
I learned that the AIR database API and the Google Gears api will not align (contrary to the big announcement a few months back) but instead developers would have to use a third party API by some third-party (cannot remember the guys name.. will try to find out later).
After Christian’s session there were sessions from Akamai, Yahoo and Nitobi (which just ended) …. Nitobi showed some examples of some very cool AIR apps done in AJAX, will have to check them out later … now its time for some ice-cream.
