Adobe Flex Training in India
I constantly get queries from developers around the country hunting for Flex training in India. Himanshu Mody, CEO Tekno Point Multimedia today left a comment to one of my earlier posts and following that I decided to post a consolidated list of training resources available for Flex in India … I did some research (asked a few people, did some google search) and I came to realize that Tekno Point Multimedia probably is the only company providing professional Flex training in India.
Tekno Point Multimedia is an Adobe Authorized Training Centre and the details of the courses that they offer can be found here
I had a few questions about their courses so I got into a conversation with Himanshu over email and asked him a few questions … here’s and excerpt of our discussion:
Mrinal: I can see that the syllabus follows the standard templates that Adobe prescribes …. can these courses be customized to suit needs?
Himanshu: Yes, we do offer customized courses based on the clients requirement.Mrinal: In what cities to you offer classes?
Himanshu: Our training center is located in Mumbai and are shortly coming up with a presence in Delhi , however we offer corporate trainings anywhere in India for a minimum of 10 seats.Mrinal: What if the course seeker is not a company but an individual?
Himanshu: Individuals can attend training courses at our training center in mumbai scheduled every month. We also conduct weekend courses for working professionals. Also we are experimenting with a video conferencing solution which if works out , will help us to conduct trainings at multiple remote training locations simultaneously.Mrinal: Can you shed some light on the pricing?
Himanshu: There are at least 4 different flex courses. Each course is priced at 9000/- or 8000/- RsMrinal: Can you give some insight into the background of the faculty teaching these courses?
Himanshu: We have 3 trainers on Flex, two of them are Adobe certified Flex and Flash instructors and the third is a Java expert pursuing his Flex trainer certification. We have been into Actionscript training since 6 years and have been Macromedia Authorized training partners since as many years. Flex is a natural progression to our commitment towards Flash Platform and we hope to continue to provide quality training on the same to professionals in India.
Thank you Himanshu for providing all these details.
I also had a quick chat with Prayank over this topic and he told me that Adobe is driving hard to set up more and more training centres all over the country.
Some on line courses that may be helpful while learning Flex are:
Lynda.com
- Flex 2 Essential Training
- Flex 2 Beyond the Basics
- Flex 2 Advanced: Using Data Services
- ActionScript 3.0 in Flex Builder Essential Training
Total Training
And, I have to mention the most valuable resource: Adobe’s Flex Livedocs which is the most equipped tool in a Flex developer’s tool box. I started exploring Flex just by reading Livedocs and I found it very useful.
Update: Silly as I am I spelled the Tekno Point as Tech Point
… I have corrected it now, I apologize for the mistake everyone.
